TRAUMA INFORMED MASSAGE THERAPY

Trauma-informed massage therapy is a safe and conscious form of massage that is intended for patients who have experienced any form of physical, mental or emotional trauma that may otherwise inhibit them from receiving treatment. The purpose of this specific approach is to allow for an open dialogue between therapist and patient where there is zero judgment or shame. This allows for a custom treatment that meets the clients needs on that specific day, acknowledging that each day can be a unique experience when overcoming trauma. During these treatments there is a large emphasis on supporting and empowering the patient, often checking in to see if they are “safe and secure” and ensuring to make any adjustments needed to help support their needs.
